Olympus Geography
Following your call — the GCSE Geography Blueprint
You spoke with our team about where your child is and what's holding the grade back. Here's the full plan, in case it's useful to have it all in one place.
Results
Angela was already doing well across her subjects and knew her Geography content. Her school had her predicted a 6, because she could not yet turn what she knew into an answer that earns top marks. Ten weeks of working on that one thing changed the mark, not the knowledge.
“Freya took our daughter from a predicted 6 to a confident Grade 9. The weekly structure and examiner feedback transformed how she approached every paper.”
James knew something wasn't clicking, but the question he needed to ask felt too small to say out loud in a class of thirty. In a group of under ten, he finally asked it. Twelve weeks later the grade had caught up with what he actually knew.
“I jumped from a Grade 5 to a Grade 8. The small classes meant I could ask the questions I'd been embarrassed to ask in school.”
Leah's problem was never how much she knew. It was that nobody had shown her what the examiner was actually looking for in a 9-mark answer.
“I finally understood what examiners actually wanted. The case study work and 9-mark technique made the biggest difference for me.”
CeCe's daughter moved two full grades in two months.
“Wow, well that is a real turnaround! From a 4 to an 8 in 2 months.”
Kariesh started with Freya at GCSE, in Year 9. He is now reading Geography at Cambridge.
“The lessons are very helpful and help me with harder topics and also revise other topics in a wide range of methods.”
What we cover on the call
- The gap
- Where a child's grade tends to be sitting versus where they want it, and how long that gap has usually been there.
- What's holding the grade back
- At GCSE level it is usually command words, case study evidence, long-answer structure, or confidence. Rarely the knowledge itself.
- The next step
- For families in this position, the GCSE Geography Grade 9 Blueprint is usually the right next step. September to June.
What's included — the Olympus Method
Know It
A solid knowledge foundation across every exam board topic, including a precise, exam-ready case study bank.
Show It
Turning knowledge into answers that earn marks — exam technique, not just content.
Score It
Timed practice under real exam conditions, examiner-standard marking, monthly feedback, run from September to the final papers.
- One live weekly class, recorded.
- Under 10 students per cohort.
- Monthly examiner-marked assessment with written feedback naming what to change next.
- Support between lessons.
Is this still the right fit?
This is right if
- You left the call with a clear answer for what's been holding the grade back.
- Your child is willing to commit to the weekly class and their own work between sessions.
- You'd rather pay once for the right support than try something cheaper first.
This isn't right if
- You're still weighing this mainly on price.
- Your child isn't genuinely on board with this themselves.
- You want more time before deciding — that's completely fine, see the deposit option below.
The Grade Guarantee
Your child's first monthly assessment is marked by a real examiner, to the same standard used in the actual exam. This is often more rigorous than school grading, so it's normal for this first result to look different from their school-reported grade — that's not a decline, it's the true starting point we track progress against.
If your child attends at least 90% of live sessions, completes every monthly assessment, and all course materials — and hasn't improved by 2 full grades against that baseline by their third monthly assessment — we'll give them a free place on our next intensive booster course.
This applies to students enrolling in September.
Marked by examiners like Hannah and Sam, introduced below.
Pricing
For context, 1-1 tuition alone typically runs around £100 an hour — across a year that adds up to well beyond what the full Blueprint costs, and this includes examiner marking, monthly assessments and support most 1-1 tutors don't offer.
This isn't the cheapest Geography support available. Most families who reach us have already tried something cheaper.
